On the evening of Saturday,
November 6th
2010, friends of Haiti and
EnviroSynergy
hosted the well attended, culturally rich fundraiser: “An
Evening of Art, Music & Conversation in Support of Haitian Recovery”
to generate
resources for immediate use in the rebuilding of a school in the
hillside village of Kenscoff above Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
As we prepare to allocate the
$6,645.18 raised through donations, art sales & silent auction bids to
the “Ecole St. Philomene School”, we would like to thank our generous
supporters and participants who, without hesitation, came forward to
address & embrace this cause. Specifically we would like to express our
gratitude to our donors & volunteers:

The
success of this benefit produced enough funds to enable the purchase of
desks, chairs & chalkboards to satisfy the needs of the
Ecole St. Philomene School
which was recently able to lease for a 1 year term a more appropriate
facility and move away from the tents used as class rooms since March,
2010. The decision to purchase the furniture and durable equipment was
made to allow the school to function efficiently as it prepares to find
a more permanent location.

EnviroSynergy & our sponsors are especially pleased to have successfully
provided attendees the opportunity to become more aware of Haiti’s
current situation as well as allow them to experience, through a variety
of activities, more about this complex island nation and to actively
participate in a program that is bringing much needed resources &
improvements into
the daily lives of nearly
300 children and their community.
Thank
you once again to our supporters. We remain grateful to have
connected with each of you
during this charitable, awareness raising event.
